Spring is here, the season of renovating, weddings and fashion.
The meaning of Spring is Hope, new beginnings, the future looks bright – literally; this season colour dominates.
Pastels
Playful pastels are popping up in homewares through textiles, ceramics, furniture and wall art.

Not only are the soft hues of pastels dominating but bold contrasts including coral, purples, turquoise and mint. Pantone’s Spring colour palette for 2014 is:
- Dazzling Blue
- Violet Tulip
- Radiant Orchid
- Celosia Orange
- Freesia
- Cayenne
- Placid Blue
- Paloma
- Sand
- Hemlock
This refreshing and uplifting palette awakens our spirit from the Winter cold.

Metallics, Copper & Brass
Complimenting the Spring colour palette, metallics, particularly copper and brass are incorporated into lighting, ornaments and fixtures.

Black and White
Black and white is still popular, but softened with shades of grey or light timber. Black is best used in small doses through pattern or as an accent shade.

Geometry
Now I’m not referring to mathematic formulas, but geometric patterns. We have seen this trending already for awhile and it continues to be popular in wall prints, tiles, soft furnishings and textiles. We are also seeing geometric shapes in three dimensional accessories including lamps and ornaments.
