Warm Tones, Natural Finishes take Pride of Place in this New Build – Local Geelong Project

The Project

Today’s project is a new home to be built in Geelong West.  Warm tones and natural finishes will feature in this home.

The Design Brief

Today’s Concept Consult objective was to collate a tile concept to compliment the home’s timber bench tops, polished concrete floors and timber window frames.  The couple wanted tiles that would look natural or compliment the home’s natural finishes, and yet make a statement.  Since they will have brown/warm toned concrete floors throughout the house, we were looking for tiles in a similar colour scheme.

Starting in the kitchen and laundry, we were seeking a large tile for the splashback, the couple wanted minimal grout lines.  Matching the timber bench top and the concrete floors we found a brown toned 300 x 600 tile for the splashback.

In the bathroom and toilet, we found a feature tile that complimented all the natural brown tones the couple has throughout their home.  To really make this the feature of the bathroom we paired this tile with a sand coloured tile for the walls and the shower base.

Our tile concept compliments the samples for the home provided by the clients and creates a colour continuity flow throughout the home.
